I have this attached to a Scientific Atlanta DVR.Installation was pretty much plug and play.Connect it, reboot the DVR, and DVR recognized the WD drive immediately. Very simple and easy to follow instructions were included for both Scientific Atlanta DVRs and TIVO.I previously had a do-it-yourself installation with an external SATA drive from Seagate, which took a few steps you have to work (especially since they are not formatted for use with a DVR, and there was no evidence of any kind). In contrast, this install was super simple.Drive has been running for about three weeks, we have a problem. Drive is quiet does its job well so far.I would recommend this product to others..
