The rechargeable battery seems to have a very short charge life.To compensate I had to buy more than one.That way I can replace one another. It takes a long time to charge too.It takes 3-4 hours to them takes a good charge and the battery then only 20-30 minutes tops. If you are recording in the dark for an hour you will need 2 or 3 units..
